Door Chimes: Frequently Asked Questions
I don’t want to make my kids paranoid, but since I got divorced
I don’t feel safe in my home and have been thinking of taking
extra safety precautions. What do you think the best way would be
to protect my home?
Teaching your family to be safe will not make them paranoid, it
will educate them to be smart about safety! An alarm system, if
you don’t yet have one, would be a perfered option for you
and your children’s safety. Also, door chimes that ring when
someone walks in or out of the house are a good idea. Make it a
family habit lock doors and windows, especially when leaving. If
your kids are going to alone after school you should work out all
emergency plans, you never know when they will need them and they’ll
be glad you taught them how to handle the situation!
